Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Getting it Sorted Discovery Session?
It's a 90 minute face to face meeting (either in person or via Zoom), designed to get to the bottom of where you're at currently with your finances, where you want to be and the challenges you're currently facing.

Do you charge a fee for this session?
No, we don't charge for the Getting it Sorted session.
Our Getting it Sorted session replaces the traditional '1st Appointment' you would attend at many other financial advisers. Based on the information you provide, we’ll share our ideas and visions for your future. If we both agree we're a good fit, and you’re comfortable that we’re heading in the right direction, we’ll present you with our proposal for building your financial plan.

Can my partner attend?
Yes, for sure. If you are part of a couple and your partner isn't keen on joining, we can have the session with just yourself. Your partner is always welcome to join the process later if they decide they’d like some formal financial advice.

What can I expect to receive from the session?
You can expect to feel clarity and confidence that you're headed in the right direction when it comes to your finances.

We always provide a summary of everything we’ve discussed, and if we feel there's further work to do, or areas which can be improved or tweaked, you’ll get a list of options or suggestions which you can decide whether to move forward with. These options can include; a full comprehensive financial plan, a spending plan to focus specifically on cash flow and budgeting, a tailored insurance plan, or a referral to a group partner for mortgage broking, tax and accounting, or a solicitor for wills and estate planning.

We have certainly found this session valuable for everyone - no matter what phase of life you're in, or your financial circumstances.

I only want some specific financial advice?
The Getting it Sorted session is all about working out your needs and goals. This forms the basis of any formal financial advice we may provide you in future.

This session can be booked as a standalone meeting with no obligation to continue with advice. However, it is important to understand while we can provide you with general advice, we can't provide answers for specific, one-off questions at this point.
Laws in Australia are very clear and require all financial service providers to give formal, documented advice for all recommendations.
This is for your benefit as all advice should be given with a complete understanding of your personal circumstances
Therefore, consider this session as the starting point for any formal advice you may receive.

Am I locked into anything following this meeting?
Nope, absolutely not. This is a no obligation, standalone meeting.

We will provide you with a really clear outline of any future financial advice we believe you will benefit from, but this does not include any pressure to move forward.

What services do you offer following this meeting and what is the cost?
While there’s absolutely no obligation to engage us after the session, we do offer a range of financial services to help you achieve everything you're working towards!
Areas of advice we provide:
-
Cash flow management
-
Investment
-
Spending plans and debt reduction
-
Super
-
Life insurance and income protection
-
Tax structuring for tax effectiveness of your finances. Please note we are not tax agents
-
Referrals to a group partner professional such as solicitor, accountant, and/or mortgage broker.
Note: we're not stock brokers so helping you to pick individual stocks/shares is not something we can assist with. However, we have a trusted network of referral partners who we can introduce you to if this is something you require.

Our fees are calculated based on our cost to deliver the service to you.
Most of our clients pay between $2,200 and $5,500 for a full financial plan that includes implementation (this means we’ll help you get our great advice up and running). In some cases you may be able to pay a portion of this from your super fund.
Any referrals to a third party are at no cost to you, and we will never benefit in any way from referring you to another professional.

Who should we be expecting to meet with?
Your session is with James Morog, Wealth Collab's professional financial adviser.
James has over a decade of experience in financial planning. He is also the founder and owner of Wealth Collab.

This session is all about you - your goals, values and dreams.
Note: this session covers general advice only. We're unable to provide any personal financial advice without getting to know your situation and then documenting it in the form of a Statement of Advice (Financial Plan).
That's the next step, if we both agree we're a good fit to work together.
